Today it is my stop on the blog tour for Sunshine and Sweet Peas in Nightingale Square by Heidi Swain and I am thrilled to be able to share with you my review for the book.
Within a matter of days Kate is landed with the job of campaigning the council to turn the green into a community garden, meanwhile all the residents of Nightingale Square are horrified to discover that the Victorian mansion house on the other side of the square has been bought by developers. But when all hope is lost, the arrival of a handsome stranger is sure to turn things around!
Heidi Swain is back with yet another cosy romance set in an idyllic
little village with a group of much loved characters to keep us entertained.
Kate moved to Nightingale Square after splitting from her
husband wanting to escape somewhere to enable her to make a fresh start somewhere
quiet where nobody knows her and where she can have some quiet time alone,
little did she know that the residents of Nightingale Square would have other
ideas!
What Heidi always does so well in all of her books and this
one is no exception is capturing the community spirit where everyone comes
together to help each other but on the flip side you can have no secrets as
everyone knows everyone else’s business. There is a strong friendship bond
between Kate Lisa and Heather who all needed the help and reassurance from each
other. There are so many wonderful characters living in Nightingale square and
it was great to see them wanting to do something together.
The storyline focuses on friendship, infidelity, parenting
struggles and lost history so there is something for everyone. If you are
looking for an easy read with lovable characters and a beautiful setting then this
book will not disappoint.
